For my layout class, I was tasked with arranging and designing 10 different texts around the theme Make It Yours. I chose to focus on the challenges of concentration and boredom while reading long texts — something I personally struggle with. To convey this, I created a magazine that combines a visual design system with collaged images to represent the confusion and distractions I experience while reading. I also incorporated doodles and random thoughts around the pages, adding to the sense of disorientation. The project is still in development, but once printed, I plan to further experiment with cutting and manipulating the pages to enhance the sense of fragmentation and distortion.
